  1. There’s a funny thing about monotheistic eschatology. No one ever uses it – no one ever has used it – to “prove” that the end of the world will come in, say, 383 years’ five months’ time. Nope. It’s always now.

    There’s a word for this – bigheadedness, or, in its biblical equivalent: pride.
