Guramit Singh in Anti-Muslim Tirade

“Stick your Allah up your arse, you cunt. Fuck em, fuck em, fuck em. I’m not being funny, fuck em. I may get arrested for this shit, but fuck em, fuck em, I’m not having it, fuck em, fuck em, fuck em, fuck em.”

Speaking at an EDL rally in support of Geert Wilders in Westminster last year, EDL leader Guramit Singh famously invoked the image of Muslims burning in Hell. In a later interview with the BBC, Singh explained that it had all been a terrible mistake:

A big apology. I messed up big time, I messed up big time…I fucked it up, yeah. Two days before, that speech was published on the internet, on the English Defence League website. It says “God bless everybody, even the militant Muslims – who’ll need it when they’re burning in hell.” Now, I missed out that word like a twat. I apologise so much. I felt so bad, you know, because we’ve got Muslim members, I thought “oh my god, what are they going to think of me?” I felt like the biggest twat, I really did.

(Singh’s speech had been conveyed with the help of cyber-thug Charlie Flowers, who held his megaphone)

Singh also accidentally forgot to include the word “militant” in a recent speech in Peterborough. Some highlights:

I’m going to tell you precisely right now what threat of Islam is. Muhammad and Islam is not a religion… Muhammad was a paedophilic pirate… Islam, in not just this country but around the world, has been using their disgusting threat, their threat has been going on for 1400 years, “if you do not bow before Muhammad and his so-called Allah, you are to be beheaded”… Hitler had fuck all on Muhammad.

The Koran and the Hadiths is written in Arabic. Muslims are not allowed to be taught Arabic in the mosque. Muslims are told, “do not question what your Imam says”, although they don’t even know what the Imam’s saying, because the Imam’s just a “Allah, fuck it”. Stick your Allah up your arse, you cunt. Fuck em, fuck em, fuck em. I’m not being funny, fuck em. I may get arrested for this shit, but fuck em, fuck em, I’m not having it, fuck em, fuck em, fuck em, fuck em.

…The UAF, the counter-protestors, the members of the Islamic community: English Defence League 2011, we’re coming to a street near you. We ain’t even fucking started yet.

Singh has now been arrested “on suspicion of intentionally causing religiously aggravated harassment, alarm or distress”.

  1. Charming stuff eh!

  2. Sikhism is, in the end little more than a Hindu reaction to the violent Arabo-muslim invasions.

    If you want religious inspired hate, then I suggest you visit a mosque bookshop ( pick just about anyone you want) and go with a friend fluent in arabic.

    Yu won’t fucking believe what he/she will read to hou.

    I mean, you won’t, simply because you won’t.

    Anyone daft enough to do posting after posting on inconsequential idiots like ‘Pastor’ Terry Jones would never, EVER believ the vile, racist hatreds strewn throughout modern islamist “literature”.

    No other ideology or religion or belif system could ever come close to matching the foul hateds found in Islam.

    Ever.

  3. When the English skinheads are done with the Muslims, they’ll turn on Singh next. Except that neither will happen, because idiots like EDLskins are so stupid and disorganized that they won’t be able to make anything happen, except for random stabbings and factional split-ups.

    Now the oppression of 99% of us average schmoes by the rich bankmaggot class in society, THAT’S another story. But the ubermaggots are smart enough to keep their mouths shut as they go about stealing everything.

    • I agree completely with that. This guy shouldn’t refer to himself as a Sikh anyways – if he were aware of the religion to which he claims to be a part of (or allows himself to be identified as “the Sikh member of the EDL”) then he would know this quote that is a part of the Sikh identity: “the breath of my life belong to Allah, to Ram, the God of both”.

  4. When the English skinheads are done with the Muslims, they’ll turn on Singh next.

    Almost all oppression of Sikhs is carried out by Muslims.

    IN fact, just about all the religious oppression the world over is carried out by Muslims.

    So what’s not to dislike?

  5. So let’s see if the authorities will arrest these people for religious hatred?

    A much, much bigger instance of religious hatred here Bart.

  6. Not all oppression on Sikhs committed are by Muslims. Indira Ghandi was a Hindu who murdered many Sikhs. So let’s not point the finger at Muslims alone. Singh is a token Asian belonging to a fascist organisation which after finishing with the Muslims will turn on other races.

  7. Singh is a token Asian belonging to a fascist organisation which after finishing with the Muslims will turn on other races.

    You haven’t a shred of evidence to support that. In fact if what you’re saying had any foundation whatsoever, Sikhs would have been under sustained attacks years ago.

    The EDL are the result of aggressions by militant islamists and the utter lack of response to those aggressions on the part of cowardly authorities.

    That dynamic is at work all across Europe and explains the explosive growth of numerous “Far Right” formations

    In France, Marine Le Pen’s FN is at 33% in the polls, an absolutely unprecedented and astounding fact. Her closest rival, Sarkhozy, is but one point ahead at 34%.

    Le Pen’s score isn’t the product of xenophobia; it is the direct result of her willingness to address the growing phenomenon of radical islamists taking over whole streets in Paris for prayer, even as nearby mosques sit virtually empty. They block streets, erect barricades, prevent both car and pedestrian traffic, and totally impede trade and commerce.

    Sarkhozy had consistently (cowardly?) avoided the issue of these islamo-supremacist gatherings ((the men praying don’t even face Mecca, but rather westward in an ominous gesture of intent), but had his hand forced by Le Pen daughter.

    He now realises that if he continues to ignore this large and growing problem, the way he has in the past, Le Pen will become France’s next president.

    France’s elites, including the mayor of Paris, are worthless, decadent idiots, self-centered careerists devoid of all common sense AND courage.

    If something isn’t done, the EDL will be but an ameuse-gueule

  8. […] Was his apology sincere? It seems unlikely, given his latest remarks. Richard Bartholomew has an extract from his speech (available on YouTube): I’m going to tell you precisely right now what threat of […]

  9. It says “God bless everybody, even the militant Muslims – who’ll need it when they’re burning in hell.”

    That really was an incredibly ignorant remark from the “Sikh” Guramit Singh, considering that there is no concept of “hell” in the conventional sense in Sikhism, let alone the notion of anyone “burning” in such a place.

    Sikhism is, in the end little more than a Hindu reaction to the violent Arabo-muslim invasions.

    I’m a Sikh myself and I can confirm that the statement above is a gross distortion of the origins of Sikhism.

    – Guru Nanak, like his 9 successors, had both Hindu and Muslim followers; in fact, his closest friend was a Muslim musician called Mardana. And Guru Nanak himself was as much a critic of various ultraconservative Hindu practices and beliefs as he was of their ultraconservative Islamic counterparts; he had some particularly forceful things to say about the more ultraorthodox members of the Hindu priesthood.

    – Guru Nanak forcefully condemned the bloodshed and chaos caused by the first Mughal emperor Babur’s war of aggression against (and successful overthrow of) the Delhi Sultanate, but after the two individuals eventually met each other and Babur realised the scale of carnage caused by his actions, Guru Nanak gave Babur a blessing that the Mughal dynasty would flourish as long as Babur and his descendents ruled justly. This is of course exactly what subsequently happened during the next few centuries.

    – The hymns of the Sikh scriptures, the Guru Granth Sahib, include numerous writings by Muslims such as Fariduddin Ganjshakar, one of the most influential historical members of the Chishti Sufi order, regarded as the founder of Punjabi Sufism and a huge influence on his successors who were instrumental in influencing the dominant mainstream version of Islam in the subcontinent. Amir Khusro, the founder of North Indian classical music as a formal art form, was also a Muslim affiliated with the Chishtis, and the whole of the Guru Granth Sahib is set to such music.

    – The final version of the Guru Granth Sahib was compiled by the 10th Sikh Guru Gobind Singh (responsible for fully militarising the Sikh population and creating the Khalsa), and includes Islamic names for God such as “Allah”; the hymns of the Guru Granth Sahib condemn bigotry and extremism (religious or otherwise), but Guru Gobind Singh did not add a single word attacking Muslims en masse or denigrating Islam as a whole. Neither did he ever implement any policies banning Muslims from entering Sikh temples; in fact, the architecture of the Golden Temple itself was specifically designed to reflect a pluralistic, multi-faith ethos.

    – The land for the Golden Temple complex and the city of Amritsar itself was granted to the Sikhs by the Mughal emperor Akbar, who was closely affiliated with the Chishti order. He was also responsible for implementing the meritocratic policies heavily integrating Hindus at the highest levels of the Mughal government & military which became the hallmark of most of the major members of the Mughal dynasty.

    – The foundation stone of the Golden Temple in Amritsar was laid by Mian Mir, a Muslim member of the Qadiri Sufi order, upon the invitation of the Sikh Guru at the time. Mian Mir was the religious tutor of the Mughal crown prince Dara Shukoh, a liberal patron of arts and music who was the son & chosen heir of the Mughal emperor Shah Jahan (who built the Taj Mahal). Dara Shukoh was himself heavily involved in promoting friendship and mutual understanding between Indians from different religious backgrounds, including translating ancient Hindu scriptures into Persian so that Muslims could better understand them, and writing a famous theological treatise called “The Mingling of the Two Oceans”, detailing what he believed to be the fundamental similarities between Sufi Islam and Hinduism.

    – Dara Shukoh was also given some military support by one of the Sikh Gurus during the war of succession when Dara Shukoh’s fanatical brother Aurangzeb overthrew his father in order to seize the throne.

    – The 6th Sikh Guru, Hargobind, whose own father had been executed by the Mughal emperor Jahangir on political grounds (resulting in the Guru beginning the process of the formal militarisation of the Sikhs by raising a standing army) and who was himself temporarily imprisoned for political reasons, had a mosque built for the ordinary Muslims who had settled in the town he’d founded in Punjab. The mosque was recently renovated by a joint project in India consisting of Sikh and Muslim volunteers.

    – All of the Sikh Gurus had numerous Muslim allies and supporters, including Guru Gobind Singh, whose Khalsa army included senior Muslim officers and whose own life was saved by several Muslims during one of the very worst periods of his life. Guru Gobind Singh obviously heavily opposed Aurangzeb’s fanaticism, but after the emperor’s death, Guru Gobind Singh provided military assistance to one of Aurangzeb’s more liberal sons during the resulting war of succession and was instrumental in facilitating the prince’s victory. The new emperor – Bahadur Shah I – subsequently publicly honoured Guru Gobind Singh with the formal title “Pir-i-Hind”, meaning “Saint of India”.

    Finally, as an example of how far the EDL’s “Sikh” spokesman Guramit Singh is from the actual stance of Sikhism towards Islam and Muslims, here are the writings of Guru Gobind Singh himself on the matter, from the “Akal Ustat”:

    “Someone calls himself a Hindu, another a Turk, someone a Shia, another a Sunni. Recognise the whole of humanity as one race……
    He the One is the only God of us all: it is His Form, His Light that is diffused in all…..
    The temple or the mosque are the same, the Hindu worship or the Muslim prayer are the same; all humans are the same, it is through error they appear different…..it is the one God who created all.
    The Hindu God and the Muslim God are the same; let no man even by mistake suppose there is a difference.”

    • i agree with almost everything you wrote…but you forget that those muslims were not real muslims who were with the Gurus. They were either Sufi or by their way of life had becme Sikhs…remained musilms only by name. Sufism is not authentic islam and thats why many indains and pakis conversted to islam cuz of sufism, and sufism practices are against the basic teachings of islam. eg. sufis sing, dance, tolerant of non muslims, and give God more than 99 names allowed in islam, etc.

  10. Jai, Sikhs are a warrior caste, which is precisely why they all sport the name ‘lion’.

    The vioolence the Arabo-Muslim invasions brought to the Indian subcontinent required a riposte, and Sikhs were a large part of that.

    The Hindu God and the Muslim God are the same; let no man even by mistake suppose there is a difference.

    You go tell the good news to the Pakistanis.

  11. Jai, Sikhs are a warrior caste, which is precisely why they all sport the name ‘lion’

    We Sikhs are not a “caste” at all. The name “Singh” — which Guru Gobind Singh adopted from the Hindu Rajput custom, along with the name “Kaur” meaning “Princess” for female Sikhs – does have martial connotations but it was also adopted to destroy the notion of caste divisions amongst Sikhs; furthermore, it has become a hereditary custom but it was originally applied specifically to baptised “Amritdari” Sikhs who had been formally inducted into the Khalsa.

    And although there is indeed a martial element to Sikhism, specifically the “saint-soldier” (“sant-sipahi”) ideal, Guru Gobind Singh specifically said that Sikhs should try to be saints before they try to be soldiers. It is worth considering the implications of that principle.

    The vioolence the Arabo-Muslim invasions brought to the Indian subcontinent required a riposte, and Sikhs were a large part of that.

    Let’s clarify & reiterate a few facts:

    – The Mughals weren’t even remotely Arabs, either ancestrally or culturally;
    – The initial invasion by the founder of the Mughal dynasty was primarily directed at the Delhi Sultanate, who were Muslims themselves;
    – Major Indian Sufi orders in that era, particularly the Chishtis, including pivotal founding members such as Fariduddin Ganjshakar and Nizamuddin Auliya (who are still venerated by non-Muslim as well as Muslim Indians), were heavily involved in promoting non-sectarian humanitarian ideals and opposing bigotry & religious extremism irrespective of whether the perpetrators were Muslims or non-Muslims;
    – From the time of Akbar onwards, the Mughals were consistently involved in such a high degree of intermarriage with the Hindu Rajput aristocracy over the course of generations that Emperor Shah Jahan, the builder of the Taj Mahal, was technically ¾ Rajput in terms of his own ancestry; even the architecture of the Taj Mahal is deliberately a hybrid of Mughal, Rajput and Persian styles;
    – From the time of Akbar onwards, neither the Mughal government nor the military were composed solely of Muslims. Not even remotely. The extent of Hindu Rajput involvement in particular was enormous.
    – The Sikhs were heavily supported by several extremely influential members of the Mughal dynasty;
    – The Sikhs had numerous Muslim allies from the time of the 1st Guru Nanak right through to the 10th Guru Gobind Singh, and the Sikh Gurus specifically incorporated hymns by Sufi Muslims along with numerous Islamic names for God in the Guru Granth Sahib;
    – The foundation stone of the Golden Temple in Amritsar was laid by a Sufi Muslim whose most famous disciple was Shah Jahan’s eldest son & chosen heir, the Mughal crown prince Dara Shukoh (who derided his fanatical brother Aurangzeb as a “bigoted prayer-monger”), and the prince was himself heavily involved in promoting moderate, pluralistic religious attitudes and interfaith tolerance;
    – The Golden Temple was specifically designed to architecturally embody a pluralistic, inclusive, multifaith ethos, open to all, and symbolising both the unity of God irrespective of what name people call their deity by and the unity of mankind irrespective of what religious affiliation people may identify themselves by. “Allah” and Muslims were explicitly included.
    – The land for the Golden Temple and the city of Amritsar were granted to the Sikhs by the Mughal emperor Akbar;
    – The 6th Sikh Guru Hargobind had a mosque built for the Muslims who had settled in the town he’d founded in Punjab. The mosque was recently restored via a major project involving Sikh and Muslim volunteers; in fact, considerable assistance was provided by the Sikh group known as “Nihangs”, who historically formed the most committed warriors of Guru Gobind Singh’s Khalsa army.
    – The Khalsa was certainly not created as some kind of “anti-Muslim army”, considering that Guru Gobind Singh’s army included numerous Muslim officers and had to combat military aggression from hostile Hindu kings as well as Aurangzeb’s administration. The latter persecuted liberal Muslims – including those formally affiliated with major Sufi orders which opposed Aurangzeb’s sectarian, ultraconservative attitudes – as well as Sikhs and Hindus.
    – The Sikh Gurus, including Guru Gobind Singh, never made any denigrating remarks about Muslims en masse or about Islam as a whole, and they never encouraged anyone else to do so either;
    – The Sikhs provided military support to several members of the Mughal royal family, initially Dara Shukoh and later Bahadur Shah I; the latter formally gave Guru Gobind Singh the title “Pir-i-Hind”/”Saint of India” for his pivotal military assistance in enabling the new emperor’s victory during the war of succession after Aurangzeb’s death of old age.

    The Hindu God and the Muslim God are the same; let no man even by mistake suppose there is a difference

    You go tell the good news to the Pakistanis.

    You go tell the good news to Guramit “Singh” first, given that I’m directly quoting Guru Gobind Singh himself.

  12. Jai, that was a very informative piece which I enjoyed reading, as for you June, you disgust me with rhethoric!

  13. Thank you for your kind words, Moe.

  14. Thanks for that redress to june Jai, it’s a shame that some people have to think like that, My Sikh neighbours were with us when we were protecting our locality frm the edl, if it got that far Abdul Salam and Guramit would in that case attack their own religious establisments and figures because the edl doesnt differentiate between “moderate” or militant muslims or men in orange or green turbans when they’re on their rampages. these guys are deluded if they think the edl would tolerate their proximity in a different set of circumstances.

  15. Imagine this with me if you may. A Muslim says the same things this dog says (Guramit ibn shit) but instead of Quran he says Talmud and instead of Mohammed may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him he says Rabbis or the the Pharisee. Imagine that. Then imagine the BBC interviews this Muslim and treat him with utmost respect like they did with this dog. Imagine that. Did you imagine that? Now, wake up because they will never allow that without throwing this Muslim in jail for at least seven years for hate speech.

    How long these injustices must continue in the name of freedom of speech when it comes to us only but not when it is against the Jews?

    He said a lot of rubbish there of course but tonight he owes me one million pounds because I speak Arabic like I speak English so he better gets his sorry arse here if he is a man and I will show him what Arabic is ibn alsharmoota (you don’t wanna know what that means, trust me).

  16. Abdul,

    the edl doesnt differentiate between “moderate” or militant muslims or men in orange or green turbans when they’re on their rampages. these guys are deluded if they think the edl would tolerate their proximity in a different set of circumstances.

    Agreed. In fact, there are already precedents for what you’ve described, such as the “anti-Islamist” EDL demonstration in October in Leicester, a city where the majority of Asians are actually…..Hindu Gujaratis. Not only that, but the demonstration was held during Navratri, one of the biggest annual Hindu festivals and which is of great importance to Gujaratis in particular.

    I expect an “anti-Islamist” EDL rally in front of the Hare Krishna temple in Watford is next.….And yes, I’m obviously being sarcastic, but you get my point.

  18. What do you think half of the EDL supporters are calling Guramit behind his back? I’m sure it starts with a “P” and ends with an “i”. Furthermore, i’m intrigued as to why he has so much hatred for Muslims. I ahve seen in the past that individuals who have suffered an injustice at the hands of another have become obsessed with it and then victimised a whole group of people. I think he must have been beaten up at some point by a muslim or he must have been bullied now he has found a group who do not possess 2 brain cells between them to vent his anger. Also apparently another of their leaders from Farley Hill in Luton used to be a “bitch” for a group of Pakistani drug dealers and they used to seel drugs for them and no doubt they abused him.
